Well the Legends and Lore set is out and I gotta say the response is overwhelming. Seems we got no crap as far as incentives. Where others have fillers we have..none! All grade A art made with love and freedom from the artists on the set. The cost of the set is the average a known artist would sell a single sketch card for. Here not only do you get that sketch card but you get a set and chances at jam sets.

Finishing the last of my sketch card commissions. Spider-Man set is done and sent in. I'll be gearing up for mid ohio so I'm switching over to full size mode with intermittent sketch card commissions here and there. I have a severely late star wars full size to redo and I'll be doing a few pieces for sale at the Mid Ohio Comicon (if I get a table). I'll also be doing con sketches there as well.

After trying to assemble my sketch/art book I decided to revisit a character I did in 6th grade way back in 86. Just for fun. I'll be doing a comic for a few issues which will be available online in various formats. I'll let people know as soon as I have close to two issues done (I wouldn't want anyone to wait long between issues). It'll be rompin stomping superhero fun!

Disney buys Marvel. I got to admit I was a bit upset about this. This is not like the pixar deal at all so don't believe the hype on that. Pixar was owned by Steve Jobs who happens to be the majority holder in Disney which means what he says goes. I'd like to believe disney will keep things as is but as far as their publishing history I wouldn't hold my breath. As far as other media the sky is the limit. I wouldn't mind seeing a pixar Marvel film if I didn't already know that pixar films are developed in house but the thought of new animated series is kind of cool. I liked what Lions Gate and Marvel films was doing so I hope that stays in tact until their contract is up. I had heard that the Thor movie might not get made now though. What it all comes down to is everything is speculation including my opinion (which I am basing on moves disney's made in the past). Even what Disney and Marvel tell you isn't what's going to happen in 6 months. Corporate Business is a very unpredictable and unforgiving monster.

I've recently started reading "The Walking Dead" by Robert Kirkman. It's so freaking awesome. My only qualm is the price. The stories by themselves go by so quick. I can't wait until the tv series. If you haven't checked it out do so and grab "Invincible" while your at it. Stories written simply but draw you in like a good book.
